Youth Exchange “Be updated not Misled”  will gather 36 young people and youth leaders from 6 countries interested in the development of media literacy which implies a critical attitude towards media images and discourses as well as interested in developing certain skills of using media tools. During the YE  participants will have an opportunity through non-formal and learner-centered methods develop their critical information selection process and  media literacy level. Moreover, by media workshops youngsters will be enabled to create their own content within the frame of project topic.

Thus, taking into account the above mentioned context, the specific objectives of the proposed

YE are the following:

-To raise participants’ awareness of media influence mechanisms.

-To develop critical thinking skills to resist media manipulation.

-To equip participants with 4 digital media tools to raise their community issues.

-To promote media literacy as a part of youth activities curriculum in organizations and communities from at least 6 countries.

-To form a network among like-minded organisations and individuals with an interest in developing follow-up projects

The project is clearly in line with promoting diversity, intercultural dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights as well as on projects enhancing media literacy, critical thinking and sense of initiative of young people acknowledged in the youth field section related to the special priorities of 2017.
