As part of the “Strategizing You(r)the Wellbeing” project, our Slovakian and Icelandic partners have developed engaging board games designed to promote mental health awareness among young people. These interactive games focus on critical issues such as cyberbullying and cultural aspects of mental health, providing a fun yet educational way to address these topics.
The testing phase involves 40 youth workers who will experience these innovative games firsthand. By participating in these activities, they will not only learn about important mental health issues but also develop essential skills like problem-solving and strategic thinking. Board games have been shown to enhance cognitive functions, improve social skills, and reduce stress by encouraging mindfulness and social interaction. These board games offer more than just entertainment; they serve as tools for promoting emotional well-being by encouraging teamwork, communication, and empathy among players. The interactive nature of the games helps create a supportive environment where participants can openly discuss their feelings and experiences related to mental health.
